Within hours of the sun rising, Dr. Saraaf was able to find a cargo ship that was willing to take him to Florida, despite the fact he had no identification, passport or papers other than an expired driver's license. He could have easily found cheaper and more legal ways of getting to the US, but this wouldn't leave a paper trail.
The college professor's paranoia kept him going, telling him he had to keep moving. It wasn't long before he was stowed away in a cabin near the bowels of the cargo ship as it started its journey, his only belongings were a few quickly purchased clothes,
